We had good weather for most of our trip. The only time we had rain was in Juneau, although it stopped while we were whale-watching and at Mendenhall Glacier. When we arrived in each of the port towns, we were greeted with overcast skies. It only affected one excursion, which I’ll mention shortly. It was never shorts and tee-shirt weather, although it might have broken 70 degrees the afternoon we were in Skagway and a few times on our land trip.
I was prepared with long underwear, long-sleeved tops, fleece pants, rain pants, a fleece jacket, heavier windproof jacket, waterproof rain jacket, hiking boots + warm wool socks, hat and gloves. The days I viewed the scenery from the front of the Baja deck, I was wearing almost all of the above!.
